Overiew:

A five-day business mission for Ukrainian businesses, communities, organizations, associations and agencies, which will take place in the Netherlands as a set of events on April 23-27, including April 24-26 in the Westland region and April 25-26 at the World Horti Center. The purpose of the event is to discuss the ways of economic recovery of Ukraine together with invited representatives of local authorities and business of Ukraine and key representatives of government and business in the Netherlands. Since the post-war period and even during the war, the Netherlands has been strongly supporting Ukraine's development direction through public-private cooperation. The main goal of the mission is to promote this cooperation through concrete plans and projects.

Objectives of the event:

– We invite representatives of Ukrainian local authorities and businesses to present themselves and create a network of direct access to Ukraine for Dutch companies.
– We will introduce the representatives of Ukraine to key organizations, targeted platforms for cooperation with Dutch companies, investors, donors and opportunities in the Netherlands. The main purpose of personal acquaintances is to accelerate negotiations with potential partners, buyers or suppliers who are already interested in cooperation with Ukraine.
– We provide an opportunity for the Ukrainian delegation to share specific requests, initiatives, and projects, as well as to learn about the experience of Dutch participants firsthand and directly in production.
– One of the priorities of our team at this event is to establish systematic communication and fruitful networking with Dutch stakeholders interested in Ukraine’s recovery and direct interaction with local leaders in the regions.

Our main goal is not to ask for help, but to demonstrate mutually beneficial cooperation on specific projects

Raise Capital Faster & Negotiate On Your Own Terms

The Mission Plan includes:
– forum,
– a visit to Dutch enterprises,
– B2B networking, round tables, seminars, workshops,
– Visit to two industrial parks in the agricultural sector
– Visit to the Wageningen University – No. 1 in the world for agricultural research
– Excursions and celebration of the King’s Day

For mayors additionally:
– Meetings with the Mayor of Westland, the Mayor of The Hague (to be confirmed), other mayors and representatives of VNG International – the Agency for International Cooperation of the Association of Municipalities of the Netherlands
– Seminar in The Hague on the topic

For regional development agencies, it is additionally planned to establish contacts with very powerful Dutch regional development agencies (up to 160 employees with budgets of up to EUR 600 million)

Target audience of the mission: government officials and representatives of local authorities from the Netherlands and Ukraine, representatives and members of associations and chambers of commerce, private sector participants (including heads of management planning, foreign investment and business development, as well as PR/IR/CSR departments)

Number of Ukrainian participants:

  • up to 15 mayors
  • up to 30 businesses

Criteria for selecting mission participants from Ukrainian municipalities:

– Only for members of the Club of Mayors – heads of communities (+1 member of the staff is allowed)
– Priority is given to communities with agricultural projects, greenhouse projects
– In case of a large number of applications from members of the Club of Mayors, priority is given to members of Economic Unions
– No more than 3 cities of oblast significance are allowed to participate

Criteria for the selection of private sector mission participants:

The selection of participants will be based on the applicant’s potential, alignment of goals and projects with the stated mission areas. Target participants of the mission are Ukrainian businesses, service providers, associations/organizations and institutions that:
– promote Ukrainian products and services in the agricultural sector in new markets
– are interested in expanding their agricultural business in the country of destination
– need investors and have investment projects in the agricultural sector
– are looking for the latest technologies and partners in the agricultural sector, new suppliers

!!! Since the number of applications may exceed the number of places, preference is given to
– companies that operate and are registered within the framework of Economic Unions of Communities
– companies – members of associations and business associations that are partners of the Mayors’ Club, UMEDA, UDA

Terms of participation in the mission:

ATTENTION! Costs: All mayors and participants selected for the mission will cover their own personal expenses, including travel, accommodation, personal interpreter, meals, transportation, communication, etc.
