Про трейд-місію

Economy of Trust Ukraine, the Mayors’ Club Ukraine, the Ukrainian Municipal Economic Development Agency (UMEDA) together with ALLE FOOD UA, invite to join the AgriTech Tour and Trade Mission to Spain.

The mission will take place from September 28 to October 8, 2026, following the route Huelva – Murcia – Madrid, and will culminate in participation in Fruit Attraction 2026, Europe’s leading fruit and vegetable sector trade fair (October 6-8, IFEMA Madrid).

We invite Ukrainian producers, exporters та processors of berries, fruits, vegetables and salad crops, а також representatives of municipalities developing agri-food projects, to participate.

About the Program

This comprehensive program provides participants with exclusive access to leading agricultural enterprises in Spain, technical expertise, and opportunities to establish business connections with potential technology and planting material suppliers, as well as to develop export and import partnerships.

Why Participate

Spain is a leading player in the European market for fresh fruits, vegetables, and berries, and the EU’s largest supplier during the off-season. It is a country where prices, quality standards, and logistics chains are shaped -factors that determine whether Ukrainian produce reaches the shelves of European retail chains.

One mission combines three opportunities that would otherwise take months to organize separately: see technologies in the field, meet with real buyers, and showcase your business at the largest trade fair in the sector.

The AgriTech Tour and Trade Mission to Spain offers:

  • Direct access to producers, cooperatives, and importers whom it would otherwise take months to reach and negotiate with;
  • Technology in the field, not on a screen – greenhouses, irrigation systems, and sorting lines that participants can see, explore, and immediately assess for their own operations;
  • B2B meetings tailored to participants – based on specific crops and supply volumes;
  • Participation in Fruit Attraction 2026 – Europe’s leading fruit and vegetable trade fair, where contracts for upcoming seasons are signed every year;
  • Information on Spanish and international financing programs available to Ukrainian producers.

Regions We Are Visiting

The route is built around three destinations, each of which is strategically important for berry, fruit and vegetable exporters.

Huelva (Andalusia) - Europe’s Berry Capital

Huelva produces and supplies a significant share of Europe’s strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. From here, berries reach the shelves of Germany, France, and the UK well before the season begins elsewhere in Europe. The region is home to some of the continent’s largest berry cooperatives, including Onubafruit and Cuna de Platero, as well as global brands such as BerryWorld and SurExport.

For Ukrainian berry producers, this is an opportunity to see how large-scale production is organized (from varieties and drip irrigation to packaging and the cold chain) and to speak directly with companies that have been supplying berries across Europe for decades and are interested in Ukrainian supply volumes.

Murcia - Spain’s Vegetable and Greenhouse Hub

Murcia is one of the Mediterranean’s most powerful agricultural regions, combining greenhouses, fertigation systems, production automation, and Mercamurcia, the region’s largest wholesale market for fresh fruit and vegetables.

This is where technologies that determine production costs and product quality for years to come are concentrated – from greenhouse structures to post-harvest handling. For producers of vegetables, salad crops, apples, and pears, it is an opportunity to see the technological standards worth aiming for and connect directly with companies that supply equipment and are open to cooperation with Ukraine.

Madrid - Fruit Attraction 2026

Fruit Attraction is Europe’s leading fruit and vegetable trade fair, bringing together thousands of producers, importers, retail chains, and industry associations from around the world every year. It is where major buyers and retail chains shape their sourcing plans for the upcoming season.

In addition to the exhibition, the program includes official meetings at the Embassy of Ukraine, the Ukraine Recovery Office, and organizations involved in agricultural sector financing programs.

It is a rare opportunity to combine commercial negotiations with institutional support at the national level – all within one week.

Spain’s Support for Ukraine and Financing Opportunities

On July 16, 2026, following the fifth meeting of the Ukrainian-Spanish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Industrial Cooperation in Kyiv, Spain reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening practical support for Ukraine and announced the mobilization of €570 million in financial and insurance instruments for the country’s reconstruction.

The funds will support priority recovery projects, expand Ukrainian projects’ access to Spanish financing, and provide risk insurance for Spanish companies investing in and participating in Ukraine’s reconstruction.

An important signal was the arrival in Kyiv of a delegation of approximately 50 Spanish companies, accompanying Spain’s First Deputy Prime Minister Carlos Cuerpo. This demonstrates Spain’s shift from political solidarity toward concrete economic and investment engagement in Ukraine’s recovery.

The first week is dedicated to agricultural technologies and production in the regions of Huelva and Murcia. Sunday will feature a Wellness Retreat and cultural program, while the second week will focus on official meetings and participation in the international Fruit Attraction trade fair in Madrid, where participants will hold B2B negotiations with potential partners and explore the latest technological innovations from around the world.
