Overview:
The “REBIRTH OF UKRAINE” Trade Mission in Madrid is designed and will be conducted to unite Spanish and Ukrainian businesses, municipalities, venture investors, impact investors, donors, financial institutions, angel and corporate investors, academia, and government organizations. The goal is to support Ukraine’s reconstruction and economic recovery while establishing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with international partners.
The trade mission will take place from February 25-28 in Madrid, Spain. Its primary objective is to discuss and implement specific steps toward Ukraine’s economic future and the prosperity of its people through Spanish-Ukrainian partnerships.
This will be achieved by facilitating connections between Spanish and Ukrainian participants and ensuring concrete outcomes through ongoing collaboration, both now and in the post-war period.
Mission Goals:
- Connect Participants: Link trade mission participants from Ukraine with decision-makers, investors, and other stakeholders to significantly advance mutually beneficial opportunities in selected regions.
- Highlight Opportunities: Share specific needs, initiatives, and opportunities currently available in Ukraine to stimulate recovery and investment in the most promising industrial sectors, while presenting financial tools to mitigate risks for investors.
- Facilitate Networking: Invite and engage representatives of Ukrainian local authorities and businesses to establish a direct-access network for Spanish companies to Ukraine.
- Engage International Stakeholders: Initiate the creation of a network of American stakeholders interested in future opportunities in Ukraine and promote targeted direct cooperation.
We aim not only to provide assistance but to foster mutually beneficial collaboration on specific projects in Ukraine!
Mission Plan Includes: Informal welcome evening, personal networking with delegation members, tour of Madrid, forum, individual B2B meetings, business lunches, visit to the Meat Attraction exhibition.
Target Audience of the Mission: Heads of Ukrainian communities, representatives of Spanish local authorities, government officials, venture investors, impact investors, financial institutions, angel and corporate investors, donors, representatives and members of associations and chambers of commerce, private sector participants, including heads of planning management, external investment, business development departments, as well as PR/IR/CSR departments.

Number of Ukrainian Participants in the Mission:
- Up to 15 mayors.
- Up to 40 businesses.
Selection Criteria for Private Sector Participants in the Mission:
When selecting participants, the potential of the applicant, alignment of goals and projects with the mission’s declared areas, will be assessed. Target participants are Ukrainian businesses, service providers, manufacturers, associations/organizations, and institutions that:
– Promote Ukrainian products and services in the relevant sector in new markets.
– Are interested in expanding their respective business in the destination country of the mission.
– Need investors and have investment projects in the relevant sector.
– Are seeking advanced technologies, partners in the relevant sector, or new suppliers.
Priority will be given if applications exceed available spots:
– Companies operating within and registered in the Economic Unions of communities.
– Companies that are members of associations and business organizations partnered with the Mayors’ Club, UMEDA, or UDA members.
Selection Criteria for Ukrainian Community Participants:
– Only for members of the Mayors’ Club (heads of communities) (+1 staff member allowed).
– Priority for communities with projects aligned with the mission’s goals.
– In the event of a high volume of applications from Mayors’ Club members, priority will be given to members of Economic Unions.
– Participation is limited to a maximum of 3 cities of regional significance.

– For business representatives: An organizational fee applies.**
– For mayors: No organizational fee.*
ATTENTION! Expenses: All mayors and participants selected for the mission are responsible for covering their own personal expenses, including travel, accommodation, personal interpreter, meals, transportation, communication, etc. These costs are not included in the organizational fee!
