The American company "Go Ukraina" and the Ukrainian project "ReUA", approved at the regional level with
the support of the Office of the President,
are joining forces to provide clean water
to war-affected regions of Ukraine
The American company Go Ukraine, as a partner of the Trade Mission in Washington, D.C., presented a large-scale humanitarian project ReH2O, which has already been launched in Ukraine to provide drinking water to the regions of Ukraine affected by Russian aggression.
ReH2O is a system of mobile modular water purification stations that can be rapidly deployed and supply clean water to areas with damaged or destroyed water supply infrastructure. These compact, energy-efficient units can be quickly delivered to the right location and set up for operation in the shortest possible time. Thanks to their modular design, ReH2O plants can be easily adapted to the needs of a particular region and can be scaled up depending on the population.
Today, these innovative plants are already providing clean drinking water to more than 300,000 Ukrainians every day in the regions most affected by Russian aggression. The ReH2O stations are actively used by the Ukrainian Navy and are successfully operating in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Dnipro regions, where the civilian population is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe due to the lack of basic resources, including water, due to constant shelling and hostilities.
The situation became particularly critical after the Russians blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. This man-made and environmental disaster left dozens of settlements in Kherson, Mykolaiv and Dnipro regions without water supply. The pollution of the Dnipro River and flooding of the surrounding areas threaten the lives and health of millions of people. Therefore, the deployment of ReH2O mobile stations in this region is an extremely urgent task.
The ReH2O project has found wide support at all levels of the Ukrainian government. Memorandums of cooperation have already been signed by the heads of Kharkiv and Dnipro regional administrations, who have ordered 30 and 40 water treatment stations for their regions, respectively. The Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories has also expressed its readiness to fully support the implementation of this vital humanitarian project.
However, effective international support is needed to scale up the initiative and reach more affected Ukrainians. Therefore, Go Ukraine is calling on American and other foreign partners to join the alliance to rebuild Ukraine and contribute to the expansion of the ReH2O network.
Humanitarian assistance can be provided in various forms – through financial donations, strategic partnerships, volunteer and expert cooperation. Every dollar or euro invested in this project can save someone’s life and give hope for a decent future to thousands of Ukrainian families.
Providing clean drinking water is not just about meeting a basic human need. It is the first critical step towards the full recovery of the de-occupied territories. After all, without quality water, neither business nor agriculture nor the social sphere can function properly. This means economic revival and sustainable development of the affected regions of Ukraine.
