AlinaForum “Bridges of Solidarity” in Luxembourg

The Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (LUCC A.s.b.l.) invites you to take part in the “Bridges of Solidarity” forum, which will be held on November 13, 2024 in Strassen, Luxembourg. The event, organized in cooperation with the municipality of Strassen and the Ukrainian House in Strassen, will focus on social and humanitarian projects aimed at supporting Ukrainians both in Europe and in Ukraine.
The municipality of Strassen, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, has faced a number of challenges in the course of more than 2 years of successful implementation of social and humanitarian projects in support of Ukrainians, including the prompt transfer of humanitarian goods to Ukraine, the transfer of funds from Luxembourg to Ukrainian charities, and the financing of educational and socially important projects. The Bridges of Solidarity Forum aims to unite efforts for a common goal of supporting Ukraine in the social and humanitarian spheres, as well as to share experiences in overcoming challenges and develop an algorithm for constructive action between participants.
Main objectives of the forum:
– To hold panel discussions on Ukraine’s recovery, humanitarian response, continuation of the strategic direction of work to overcome the humanitarian consequences of the war and implementation of international humanitarian law at the national level.
– Establish links between municipalities, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, philanthropists and institutions of Luxembourg and Ukraine for cooperation in the social and humanitarian spheres.
– To create favorable conditions for cooperation between the forum participants in order to increase the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation.
Highly respected speakers have already confirmed their participation in the forum, including Acting Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Porkhun, Minister of Family, Solidarity, Community and Interior of Luxembourg Max Hahn, representatives of the European Investment Bank and the Union of Luxembourg Cities and Municipalities. The Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Minister of Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, as well as Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Natalia Anoshyna are expected to confirm their participation.
Forum participants will have the opportunity to meet potential investors for their projects. If you cannot attend in person, the organizers suggest sending your social or humanitarian project to be presented at the event with contact details for interested parties.
Projects with small budgets (approximately 20 thousand euros) have a better chance of being selected.
